Phantom Canyon Road

Our latest adventure took us into Phantom Canyon. We ended up arriving fairly late in the afternoon after a serious of child-related mishaps rendered our efforts for an early departure impossible. Buena Vista Colorado

We had our second amazing visit of the year to the beautiful Buena Vista, Colorado. Literally translated the name means “good view” and the forefathers of this stunning mountain town definitely named the town right. This time around there wasn’t nearly as much snow so we were excited to hike in some new spots while we were in town.

Eleven Mile State Park

We had an amazing visit to Eleven Mile State Park! This places is gorgeous and had just the right amount of snow for a wonderful winter drive. We found this abandoned pine branch shelter in the snow that the kids loved checking out. There was even a snow-covered fire ring. Even though there was plenty of snow on the ground it really wasn’t that cold at all. The kids had the time of their lives playing in the snow and checking out this winter wonderland of a forest.
